Make your plans now to be at Grand Lake on Friday, July 14th, to take part in the 2017 GLOC Shootout Troops Charity Tour.
The Troops Charity Tour is an organized tour of Grand Lake for the 2017 GLOC Shootout participants and anyone else who wants to enter - and you do not have to have a performance boat to participate. This is open to all boaters.
The tour will be begin at Lakeside Marina at Sailboat Bridge in Grove and proceed South to Pensacola Dam to make a pass by the GRDA building in Langley and in front of the dam.
At that point, all the participating boats are encouraged to split off and find your favorite - or soon to be favorite - waterfront restaurant on Grand Lake and enjoy a great lunch.
All participants will be given a printed guide that will include a full map of Grand Lake and that will highlight the participating restaurants that we encourage the participants to visit.
And no, this is NOT a Poker Run, but all participants with paid entries will be entered into a drawing with a chance to win one of many great prizes. The drawing will take place shortly after the conclusion of the tour.
This is a charity boating tour of Grand Lake with all proceeds going directly to the Combat Vets Association at www.cvmagroveok.org - Oklahoma Chapter 10-5.
This chapter is a locally based 501-C3 organization of combat veterans that serves all veterans in need within a 75 mile radius of Grove, Oklahoma.
GRDA Rules for Duck Creek and Woodward Hollow will be enforced and published in the Guide for participants to observe and follow.
Additionally, there will be rules that must be followed by all that participate in the tour in the name of safety. Those will be given to all participants in an organizational meeting immediately before the tour and will also be published leading up to the event.
Registration is a must for this event to ensure the safety of all and to give you the best chance to win great prizes.
After the tour during the day, there will be a bit ‘Cruising the Docks Party’ at Lakeside Marina leading up to the GLOC Shootout on Saturday and Sunday.
If you do participate in the tour, you do not have to be present to win the drawing prizes. You will be contacted by phone and prizes can be picked up at the ‘Information Center’ anytime during the GLOC Shootout event.
The cost to take part in the Charity Troops Tour is $195 per boat, or $100 per boat that is also a GLOC Shootout participant.
Make your plans now...this is going to be a GREAT Friday of boating at Grand Lake supporting an even better cause!
