SHOOTOUT RACING

Shootout – Saturday JULY 27th    10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Opening Ceremonies will start at 10:00 am with Tow boat taking a trip down the course displaying the American flag to the National Anthem played on KGVE 99.3 (GLOCs official radio Station).  Next down the course will be Mr. Mark Maasen in his new vessel appropriately named "Merica" displaying the Combat Vets.org flag and our new GLOC Flag as the Monkey Island Fire Department displays an awesome spray of water from their fire boat.

 

To conclude the

At 10:35 am Motion 77 will proceed to run several double groups of runs to set the radar guns.  Their speed is recorded but not used in competition.

The Queen will be open for spectator viewing. Hotdogs and beverages will be available for purchase provided by our very own local WAAMI organization on the lower level of the Queen.  American Grill will be providing a full service bar upstairs.  Speakers will be provided to allow ground spectators to hear all race speeds as they happen.  Lakeside Bar and Grill will be open serving beverages also provided by the American Grill.

GLOC has initiated a new program this year called the Dealers and Manufacturers Showcase which will feature "showcase" boat exhibition runs.  Mr. Bob May of Bob's No Wake Zone and Mr. Brad Harrigton  will be announcing all the new and wonderful features of this year's boats.   DCB Performance Boats from El Cajon, California will be featuring Six models and our very own Indian Hills Marina will be running an exhibition run in one of their new Playcrafts.  Don't miss seeing these awesome boats run the course.

Sailboat Bridge will be available for viewing and golf carts will assist people to and from the bridge to the marina.  This service is provided Free so take advantage of the great views from the bridge.

The docks will be open to all EXCEPT during the actual racing event when this area will be a “Restricted Area” and anyone on the docks other than racers and race teams must have a pass and sign a waiver to enter.   Teams are being sequenced to race and will be leaving and arriving to run our FasTrac™ Course, so the dock area will be very busy and communication is essential to keep things safe and on track.  

This event as always is free and open to the public.    The entire race will be announced "live" on KGVE 99.3 FM by Mr. Bob May from BOB's NO Wake Zone, KRMS News-Talk 1150 Radio, Lake of the Ozarks and Mr. Brad Harrington. 

Limited VIP Parking will be at Lakeside Marina and will cost $10.00 per car to park.  Additional No Charge parking will be provided at LOT 33 (just east of Stonebrook Inn) and the Grove Trolley will provide FREE Shuttle to and from Lakeside Marina and the lot.

 

Shootout – Day Two    10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Sunday will be another day filled with performance boat races that concludes with an “Awards Ceremony” for the top racers.  The Combat Vets Auxiliary will be serving breakfast that can be purchased  from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.   Come have breakfast  and support our local Veterans Auxiliary Organization.
